From everything I know (and what I would do) RTP is a very desirable market. 

@Mindy Jensen Charlotte and Raleigh (Raleigh/Durham/RTP/Cary) make up the major bulk of NC posts on BP, both by volume (number of posts) and by topic.

Many young people will stay in the area of their college if there are good jobs and a good place to start a family)   c)RTP (Research Triangle Park is a thriving technology hub in Raleigh offering good paying jobs in the technology industry.....as I think technology will play a bigger role in the future of our economy)   d)Population Growth.  

Hello Jonathan..I live in Clayton, just south of Raleigh-Durham and work in the park (RTP).

Few year ago when I signed a lease for half an year in RTP, NC, and in 10 days I got a new job in another state.

Examples:Lender 1: RTP Federal Credit Union: "Must have rental income on 5 years tax returns to get this loan"Lender 2: Coastal Federal Credit Union:  I THINK that I do in fact meet their parameters to qualify for this loan, but they are idiots and I think they're interpreting my tax returns in correctly. 

Always good to see other RTP folks on here...our numbers are growing by the minute as of lately, or so it seems!

After looking in the Cary/Apex areas for a few months in the $300k bracket, I decided to move closer to RTP and signed a purchase contract for a new SFH build in Durham (Brightleaf subdivision). ~2600 sq ft, 4BR/3BA, two car garage. 

At the moment we are experimenting with a furnished corporate rental located close to RTP in Durham.  

What was the RTP ratio of the last duplex sold in the good area?
