I was on Amazon and saw a promo for 15% off books with code PROMO15I was about to buy Don R Campbell's book but decided to get More than Cash Flow instead. 

Their reasoning for doing a show isn't necessarily for promo material.  

Also they were running some promo last week the site said " ***FRIDAY SPECIAL EVENT INCENTIVE: Buyer will receive a purchase credit of $1,000 at time of successful closing" and the contract says " and the contract says I get a $1,000 "aged property credit".  

You can blast email promos to every other licensed agent in the area.What to watch out for?  

I am a lender however I do not have any options for non owner HELOC's however Red Canou Credit union is one of the few CU's that will do 80% lines of credit (LOC) and term loans @4.99% (temporary promo) on investment properties.

.- 5% fixed for 10 years- 20 yr am- 80% LTV (the new value which I powered to double over the last 5 years -  shameless self promo there  ;) )- my fees were similar to more if you factor in phase 1s (questionnaire), appraisals, legal fees mine and the bank's)- recourse/personal guaranteeAlthough that may seem high to some, in the small loan world , yes 'small' loan is under $1mm you get into a bit higher rates and shorter amorts.  

I'm  always wary of hidden fees/interest even with the promo: no int for 12 mo.

I've actually used similar strategies in the past for concert promo - curious to see if they could apply to real estate.

Pretty soon I might be getting a promo after I graduate this year making 50-60k My only questions are: Has anyone bought their dream house as their first house and manifested their equity in their house to build their investment portfolio?
