So, the tax code lets me pay tax on my net profit of gross income from my work, less day to day expenses (fuel, maintenance) and after subtracting the cost of the heavy equipment (taken 1/7th per year for 7 years)c) in rental real estate, the heavy equipment is merely replaced with the cost of my building.
