The goal has to have a finite destination and time limit on it.For example you may say your goal is 20 houses in 20 years (paid off) earning $20,000 per month.. (20,20,20 goal).Now you know where you're going and the timeframe for this to happen.

We are able to use the condo in a recreation destination frequently, and it's paying for itself in the meanwhile.

People are already getting restless and protesting the way things are going now so I think things will get reopened sooner rather than later.People will want to get away and drive to destinations will be on the list more than flying, IMHO.As for waiting, I doubt you will see a drop in prices.

It is a large drive to destination, that continued to perform well during past national slowdowns.Local government definitely supports STR's, they actually depend on them for a large portion of their revenue.  

The key is to invest in a mature, drive to vacation destination where the demand is constant enough even during Covid and where that will remain so no matter who gets elected in November.

The building is on a large plot overlooking Cabo San Lucas, Mexico's # 2 tourist destination.

So, rather than comparing owning in Mexico vs the US, here are some of the reasons why I love owning property in Mexico:- Properties in Mexico are cheap;- Mexico is already one of the world's biggest tourist destinations and getting more and more popular. 

No data, no scientific study...but just seemed destined to happen.Probably the other issue is everyone is pretty much sympathetic to junior.   

Paris, Barcelona, and San Francisco always were short-term destinations, short-term rental became a scalable business model for these cities with Airbnb, but the rules changed there.
