I'd be prepared to spend about 10% of my profit on marketing, some of that would go to materials/mailer costs, and some would go to paying an employee to do the work.Do you have a recommendation or rule of thumb that has worked for you?

We originally liked the blank slate idea of the house but I'm wondering if the material cost for bringing in drywall, ceiling, floor, etc. for the entire house might end up being higher than the alternative option.I would also appreciate any feedback on the BRRR (is that the right amount of R's) strategy we are looking to employ for this venture.

The brick is so popular, that it is being illegally stolen from vacant buildings and shipped throughout the country for accent pieces, etc.The problem with this nice material, is that it would be insanely expensive if you tried to replicate the building exactly.

I would upgrade a slummy looking kitchen or bath with builder grade materials or do tweaks to something old looking but in good condition (refinish a pink cast iron tub, use oil based paint to cover dated bath tile in good condition, paint good condition cabinets white and add new counters)

I wonder if they were saying it costs about 10k for the materials to "print" the exterior walls or something, not counting the labor, overhead and machinery involved to build those walls...Not even counting the foundation, roof, utilities, trim, partition walls, doors, paint, etc.
