@Mike Bolen, our biggest threat is probably from the political realm... many jursidictions are considering legislation restricting STR's...

In particular I'm curious to learn more about the STR policies in the various towns to better understand which areas have more friendly STR legislation.

I think this was legislation requiring banks to lend more to creditworthy borrowers, even in not so "prime" locations.

For example, they are very conservative when it comes to things like fighting/warring with other religious ideologies, keeping government out of religion, etc.And they are very liberal when it comes to the government controlling our bodies -- for example, outlawing assisted suicide, etc.If religious leaders tell them to support one candidate or one view on a piece of legislation, they will.
