I would imagine that they will sand the floor and blend it in with stain,.This issue is the most concerning , the other big ticket item is the missing vapor retarder in the crawlspace under the house.

I prefer dark grouts and small grout lines on floors because of staining and dirt, but good non-slip tile in a bathroom is fantastic compared to anything else.
