To be safe with anything except a fairly new house, you’d really need to excavate around the house, parge the outside of the foundation with an asphalt/tar product, install a dimpled plastic membrane over that, and then on the inside, fastidiously install rigid foam on the floor and walls, spray foam/tape all seams, etc… Then frame, then drywall.Seems ungodly expensive.

If its installed correctly it looks pretty good.a lot of the baseboard heaters were in rough shape so we spray painted them white.

I have one tenant keep reporting bed bugs, approximately every 2 months.The first time, we sent pest control company, the company found there are few bed bugs in the sofa and did the spray.

One may be in a lower end neighborhood where you can get away with spraying the entire house in one color where another needs 3 different color schemes (one for ceilings, one for walls, one for trims).

That person is likely not very familiar with the pest, but has a license to spray chemicals.Chemicals only work if they come in contact with the bedbug.

I would have a company come in and test if for asbestos.If it is asbestos free, you can spray it down with water in a spray bottle and scrap it off.
