I am looking to move some of my liquid assets (20-25K) to a long-term, higher-yielding asset class with tax advantages.What do you all think are good rental markets (preferably in the North East) that are within a train/short plane ride from New York so that I am within travel distance within my budget?

@Steve Vaughan  another SV brilliant post.. that's why I don't pay cash for my cars anymore I used to .. with 2% or less money out there.. and I am going to drive them one way or the other.Same with airplane.. less than 5% money fixed for 20 years and UBER write offs.. no sense paying cash for those.. this is why you have a private aviation and jet industry to begin with.. and heavy equipment for that matter.. you can buy a multi million dollar plane with 5 to 10% down and fixed for 20 years .. with moderate qualifications..

I mean we all pay taxes in some form; I would rather them be used to ensure people have a home than on corporate tax breaks, billion dollar planes that don't work, a stupid racist border wall, and as a gift to Israel so it can be used to kill Palestinian children.
