At 6500 ft^2 (the salon and dining room are almost 600 - 700 ft^2, the master suite may be larger), it is like you said, too big for a modern single family home, particularly when you figure ~4500 ft^2 of that space is seven rooms and two grand halls.If I could get the City to work with me on the zoning, it could serve as a law office, investment house, or something of that nature ... but would still need to be made much more energy efficient - who wants a 10 - 12K heating bill each year.
