I would view it in salary terms: consider it 60 days full time work at an annual rate of $100k, so about $17k as a one-time fee for services IMO would be fair, chipped in equally from the three cash partners, and then year 2+ all cash flow would go solely to the cash partners.

I’m thinking the buyer puts up the 10,000 in escrow as sort of a deposit… then proceed in a legal manner, have the chips fall where they may… pay the fine with it or eventually it goes back to them or remain s with you, I think the buyer has incentive to pay the 10k.

In fact, I could say having a mortgage is much more needed than having 401k.The only good thing about 401k is only because the company is also chip in free money to the table.
