Are you required to put up security cameras and an alarm system at every rental?

I've had handymen steal packages from my tenants doorstep and then try to deny it, even though he got caught later at the post office, on camera, trying to send the package back to the tenant.I'll give you an example.I have a plumbing clog at unit #1I call  vendor #1 who I use regularly and they charge me $288 to clear the main line and the problem gets solved.

I also installed a security camera that sends me an email alert when it senses motion with a picture of what triggered the motion.I use Homeaway / VRBO and they keep my house full for top dollar rentals.

Minor repairs needed - landscaping, putting security cameras up, need to seal the concrete lot eventually, and repair some of the garage doors. 

My wife went first with a camera to document the "before" condition.
