With an already low credit score, the chance of being approved for another credit card is pretty slim and the hard inquiry will lower your score even more, although probably temporarily.

@Luka Milicevic I would be looking for SFR (condos or homes) where I could stay temporarily and then rent it out after 6-12 months whenever I locate a 2nd property and keep building the portfolio.  

We have been looking at investmests such as duplexes that we could live in temporarily until we find a longer term home, or until we decide to make Bend a permanent home.
