As long as it's fully occupied it should be doable even as a first timer. 

Some are self-managed, some are not.

Remember, the notion of amassing wealth without investing is a dangerous myth perpetuated by self-proclaimed experts.

I think for people like myself who is a first timer + i have full time work and family, is a worth it.

But, more importantly for future investing (and sanity) stay away from "guru's" and self proclaimed mentor's who have something to sell you.

With one property you can self manage even from a distance.
