Like you, I am still pretty new to BP and am looking to make a change from my current career (or maybe just augment it).I've already learned a ton from this site, and I'm on the cusp of making my first real estate deal or two.Hope to see ya around...

., I would feel comfortable going to meetups, and I feel that in some ways, being a woman is an asset because *some* men find it intriguing/refreshing to see women appear in a heavily male-dominated industry, so are more inclined to chat and help - with or without ulterior motives is another story.But what I do find concerning is the stigma that sometimes comes with a female investor... because real estate investment is looked at as a "masculine" activity which is perceived as unconventional for women to dabble.

@Andy Luck Good suggestions on the REI group and may be doing the leasing myself (or at least augmenting the effort).

I would use the savings (perhaps augmented with a HELOC depending on how much equity you have) to investment in another property with better returns.

I love real estate as an investment (not part of my firm) and I focus on duplex investing to augment projected retirement cash flow.I have scanned the website and like what I see, but I am confused about one rule that seems to be used a lot, and that is the 2% rule.

Plus whatever else comes along that sounds fun.Ultimately, I would like to build a portfolio of cash flow properties to augment my retirement.

Because it augments protected dry wash land that helps the desert eco system.  

Also, if you can augment this with additional ideas, I'm very open to that.Thanks in advance,Tom

In the meantime I would like to make a career change, and preferably move toward something that will augment my career in REI. 

Also, I got my license to augment my REI activity, not w/ the expectation it would be my full-time job.
