How is the description?

If the appraiser does research into the legal property description, they are not going to put any blessings on the unpermitted work.

Just a simple statement such as "I hereby forever release my redemption rights to the following property:  (with legal description and street address and tax parcel ID number) and then they sign and have their signature notarized. 

But legal description contained phrase "one half of lot [x]..." which is a dead give away that this is not a legal lot under the Subdivision Map Act.  

I ask this because upon looking around Zillow I found a "residential-single family" home that has 12 bedrooms and the description claims that all 12 rooms rent out and that it's already being filled for the upcoming college year.

I decided to SPECIALIZE, to the EXCLUSION of everything else, one ONE PROPERTY TYPE, in ONE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA.

These kinds of properties can be a great way to balance cash flow with long-term appreciation, especially if you're looking to diversify your portfolio geographically.

Tourism, remote workers, digital nomads, snowbirds, retirees, near shoring induced economic boom, growing middle class, massive population (growth) and geographical location.

showing how others have overcome basically every conceivable obstacle, just need to find the ones that work well for your specific situation.From the description you gave it sounds like a great place with some good family history, so it would be a bummer to have to sell.
