I tried furnishing a few times in 2019.

I am thinking near $400/month per unit including furnishings.  2 units would be $9600.   

Hey @Travis Biziorek, Correct, I currently have the property listed on Airbnb (STR) and Furnished Finder (MTR).

They find the property, manage the renovation and furnishing then manage it.

Furnished MTR is another route you can go.

Obviously I would charge more for this (research shows 25% - 35% over LTR rate), and I wouldn't be furnishing the house.

I hadn't planned on using Airbnb or VRBO, but I suppose this could change depending on my progress using Furnished Finder.

If it's only 1 unit, and you are just starting,  Airbnb and Furnished Finder would be good.FF has a very small yearly fee and airbnb will take a commission, but it will also get you used to both.

I'm likely making those 2 units into midterm furnished rentals, I'm used to only having LTRs for myself but will see how it goes :)

Go yourself, at least for the initial purchase, any renovations, and furnishing, etc. and set-up.
