Hello @Nevin WilkieThis post is aged a couple of weeks but I hate it when misinformation is given so thought I would clarify a few things based on some of the replies I saw. #1. 

I feel like the next 10 years, ie from age 47 to 57 are not necessarily ones during which I want to be downsizing or worried about money.

It’s awesome that you’re jumping into real estate at such a young age.

Many investors see no "hard line" on age as long as there’s strong cash flow and maintenance is manageable, but ensuring you’re prepared for any age-related quirks is essential.

Additionally, maintenance/cap ex expenses are high due to age.

It's just a product of the modern internet age and you are right, they always have a new way of skirting the rules.

Mainly because so many of us on this website are significantly younger than retirement age. 

I bet you don't have any friends who want to do this at your age so when you tell people about your dreams they say it's crazy.

@Dayton Bishop It's great to hear you are taking interest in real estate at such a young age but based on what you shared, you're not in a position to own real estate.
