Insurance would cover it, I would pay the deductible, and no assets would be lost.If you are in an area like San Diego where people are more likely to sue, a judge is more likely to find you guilty, and the payout is expected to be higher, you may consider an umbrella insurance policy.

It could very well be the route that is "cheapest" now, ends up being substantially more expensive down the road.If the costs above are not worth it to you...maybe pass on the LLC and get yourself a good insurance policy, and maybe an umbrella policy personally.

Other solution is to start your Visa application and then get a SSN OR you could buy in your personal name and have an Umbrella Insurance if ever you get sued.

Your Attorney would love to sell you stuff you don't really need.If you don't operated this 100% correctly someone intent on Sueing you will just pierce the corporate veil anyway.You are much better off taking care of your properties so no one wants to sue you, having correct STR insurance and you can always add an umbrella policy for a 3rd layer of protection.
