@Lallu Tappu if there is not a countersigned lease, then she could be considered trespassing/squatting and therefore may be able to get her arrested instead of evicted. 

Only issue….she was arrested for a different charge and so we couldn’t quite serve the notice until she was out of jail.

Right now, the police are trying to get people to comply without arrests.

I will only stop when my wife says no more (or I get arrested).

I use SpotCrime to see exactly what arrests have been made. 

For example, a boyfriend got physical with the girlfriend, she called the cops, he was arrested and a restraining order was placed against him.

The detainer filing will cause a snowball of grief on them and unless they can prove to a judges satisfaction that they have rights to adverse possession, they may be arrested for criminal trespassing (penal code 602 PC) as they are removed. 

Evictions for non-payment might be halted but restraining orders (which would also force them to move out when issued for violence) and arrests are problem solvers too. 

Started working permanently when I was 9 (people would be arrested for this today), my SS statement goes back to when I was 12.
