Here in eastern Canada the rethink on urban planning and a move towards higher density and more walkable/livable cities has been slow coming, but is finally arriving.The post-War subdivision sprawl grew-up, matured and demanded the services and amenities of the cities they surround {sewer & water, transportation, etc} while staying beyond the tax reach of those same cities.

A refrigerator or freezer transported on it's side or back needs to sit for at least 24 hrs. before being plugged in.

It is well located around other areas, close to major transportation / LAX, close to the coast, nice weather, etc.

Transportation- the idea of self driving cars makes a commute not as daunting to many folks.

Now go on to play with ideas in transportation, land use, finance, hospitality, place making, wellness, broadcasting and other categories. 

I graduated college with an engineering degree in May 2010 with $55K (before the 4-9% interest, after scholarships and grants and that's a small amount compared to most) to pay off, a car to pay off as I could not use public transportation, and no sustainable full time position/job.
