I don't plan on living in the house, I believe if I'm not mistaken that a 203k FHA requires me to live in the house.I planned on talking to my lender about a portfolio loan so the offer of $60k and the rehab costs with the exception of 20% down payment would be financed.

Good luck.I just retired last year, my understanding is if I take out the money January 2024,I don't have to claim it as taxable income until I file my returns  in. 2025 which  allows the amount I will owe to remain in the market making money........ am I mistaken ?
