The US can also collapse and your T bills would be worth nothing...but the point is the level and probability of risk.

Hi Peter,It might be smart to find out why it's gapping.I am aware of a situation where there were several people out on a balcony during a party, it collapsed due to structural problems.A young lady was injured very badly.It might be smart to find out why it's gapping--and fix the problem vs just weather proofing it.Good Luck!
