I currently work full time as an application engineer in the Detroit metro area, and plan to get started in real estate in my free time.I've been trying to do my due diligence in preparing for the inevitable plunge into the world of real estate investing, namely listening to Brandon and Josh's podcasts, reading books on the subject, and joining my local real estate investor's group (Michigan Real Estate Investors) to build my local network.

Hi Everyone,I am in the Greater Phoenix, Arizona area and have been reading and watching videos on wholesaling and house flipping  for some time now, just haven't taken the plunge into the market as it is still unclear to me how to do that first deal.

If you play in the shallow end for awhile and gradually make your way to the middle range of the pool, this is getting you ready to make the big plunge. 

My biggest fear is that I will keep reading and learning but never actually be comfortable enough to plunge into an investment....I have success in my current profession and would like to have that success in real estate...

I'm new to REI, but am looking to take the plunge 

I’ve been reading and listening to countless podcasts over the past few months and and have determined that my initial plunge into real estate should be via a house-hack.

I'm kinda nervouse about it but taking a plunge is what really matters.

I'm especially interested in learning about commercial investing and mobile home park investing...two things I've never taken the plunge on.Looking forward to contributing here.Theresa Allison

Four years ago my wife and I took the plunge into real estate by househacking in the most dangerous city in America, and no @Joshua Dorkin it’s not Detroit.

I'm hoping to start wholesaling and rehabbing on the side anywhere along the Hartford-New Haven corridor, get some confidence, then take the plunge and quit my day job.
