this is interesting on the west coast we have plenty of indian res's but I have not personally dealt with any land that was close to them.It does sound a lot like Ajedo land in Mexico though.. were the Mexican Indians have claim to a huge amount of mexico but try to figure out who really owns it and who really has the right to convey title.We are currently working on a piece of Ajedo land on Cerritos beach.

As you know (this is not a secret) a lot of people got scam buying in Mexico, therefore it is important to deal with the premium RE agent or developer with good backgrounds and references.

I did look into RE there decades ago, but selected Mexico for a couple different reasons.

I am licensed in New Mexico and Texas and I have not looked into licensing regulations against it, so I figured I would ask here first. 

We have invested in Tulum, Mexico, where we are seeing unparalleled return on investment, since land prices have doubled each year since we got there a few years ago.

From a social perspective, I would like to help a millenial buy their first home, especially in a rural area or small town in New Mexico.
