Hey all,I see a lot of investors using Buildium for investment properties, but does that translate to STRs/vacation rentals?

I don't think as many people are looking in those towns/areas as, say, Providence or Pawtucket.I would just say, familiarize yourself with the landlord-tenant laws of each state as early as you can since that might affect where you want to ultimately buy, and you'll need to know them anyway.I don't have a resource handy for Connecticut but for Rhode Island the venerable Landlord-Tenant Handbook is a great starting place as it tries to translate the laws (the RI Residential Landlord and Tenant Act aka RIGL 34-18) into human-readable text.

They do have pretty decent rates though which translates to revenue in your pocket. 

I've spoken to numerous agents, and while they've all agreed that the area is currently undergoing revitalization, based on what they say about the area in general, I haven't really been able to figure out if that will translate into a good rental market.

, US credit with 4 tradelines which it sounds like you have, anything not written in english must be translated to english by appropriate vetting, you need to go to US embassy to be notarized, and you need a team of people in the city where the property is to trust.

Luckily, I have a friend who is a retired detective who can translate the reports.
