All I could do is feel bad for the sellers, they came through my first open house and were a great young couple, he was being offered a promotion to Florida but the company only paid for the movers, so they wanted as much cash as they could to restart there, thus the choice they made.

verizon tried doing that to my parents....my parents signed up for fios when they were having a promotion of like $200 in amex giftcards or something. after a few months, they never got their cards so they called. the rep promised they would be there soon. another month goes by and they never got them. they called again and was told that they didn't qualify as they didn't sign a contract. my parents decided that they had enough of verizon's @#$% that they decided to cancel. the rep transferred them to another rep in their rentention dept who told them they would have to pay a $200 cancellation fee to 'break their contract'....hahathey never paid and told them to @#$% off!

I've dealt with too many agents who over emphasize the problems in the beginning of a phone conversation or showing, and they will always promote the more quality listings first.
