Another school of thought is to goto the local temp service and hire yourself some laborers and painters to do the bulk of the work -- and hire specific contractors for things that require permits.

Average temp on the Maine coast in January - 31 degreesAverage temp in Miami in January - 76 degreesABSOLUTE WORST CASE WARMING PROJECTION - 7 degrees per 100 years.Maine will be just like Florida in 650 years.This kind of game is fun, but as a guide to real estate investment strategy it is just silly.
