If you go get an expensive degree in English you may not fare as well.

I hope to get back into it someday when I have more time/money, My finace is a pilot too so the dream is to someday get our own little planeWell keep at it nothing finer than getting up in the air.. myself  Cirrus SR 22 is my ride.. although I am bout retired after 35 years of private aviation..  

If you decide you want your VAs to be on the front line (answering calls, screening leads, etc) then include in your job description that you want someone that speaks fluent English and has prior phone skills.

I ask him to read the contract HE drafted and make sure I was interpreting it right, especially since English is my second language.

Keep asking for escalation to a manager (hopefully someone who speaks English?)
