ONe job I remember him having was , he would drive to LA and go to this big warehouse and pick up repossesed Refers and freezers. he had a truck and trailer he would get about 30 or so of them per trip.. our apartment had a back yard more of town house style i guess.. and he would roll them out in the back yard and him and my mom would clean them up as best as they could put small add in paper and sell them with delivery included.. you just did what you had to do.

In many, perhaps most, places gas will win-out as both more efficient and more cost efficient - we happen to be in one of those rare locations where oil is as cost efficient as natural gas due to exorbitant delivery charges on the gas.Though we are buy and hold investors, I can voice for oil heat carrying a stigma to a purchaser.
