In the process of revamping the kitchen (keep the cabinets but whitewash them, I do not like the current ubiquitous NYC "yellow" wood tone, also new backsplash, new stainless steel fridge, I may keep the current stove even though it is not stainless steel as it is fairly new and nice w vent, I may keep current countertops or replace w white granite as they are small in area) buy new toilet, the current is old and small, but the rest of the bathroom is nice!

The property has 4 separate entrances and essentially 3 separate living spaces with relatively minimal work required; couple inside doors, add cabinets, sink and stove to complete a mother in-law.

The next day the AC went out the owner rushed over and paid a hvac guy a lot ( holiday weekend) the day after it was the stove.

We deal with this a lot in NJ, but most of the time when we have an illegal (usually 3rd) unit in the basement or attic, we uninstall the stove and remove it, close, and then put it back.

What is your opinion on used vs new appliances? I cannot find refrigerators locally and I will be house-hacking a duplex. I bought one but it has dings in it. Should I just buy new if I wanna rent out the 3rd bedro...
