Took advantage of new ADU legislation which now allows ADU's to be added to multi-family properties.

I'm somewhat familiar with the June lanlord legislation updates but it seems this may only be applicable when embarking on the 6+ unit conversions up to mega conversions ala Jared Kushner style.I'm interested to hear people's thoughts on why the recent drop in multi res. prices and if this has anything to do with it.Thanks

Eddie - That is what happens when our elected officials rush to push through legislation without considering the ramifications.

According to the wonderful new healthcare legislation, as a man I will be required to buy health insurance that includes coverage for maternity and newborn care.

I posted this as a source of information for those that do engage and wish or would like to have grounds to fight this ruling.I can see the logic from both sides but legislation and interpretation are always a point of contention where there is not clear case law on a certain matter and this is clearly one of those cases. 

I do know, it they are there and someone is sufficiently motivated they will be found and used.I also know with an attitude toward legislation of, "We have to pass it so we can know what is in it," coupled with the knowledge the members of Congress don't read what they vote on, it would be a pretty safe bet they are there just waiting to be found.

Note that a few of the more onerous requirements are superseded by new state legislation. 

For example, the legislation would prohibit IRAs from holding unregistered investments that are offered to accredited investors, like equity or debt investments in small businesses or investments in private funds.
