Awesome imput guys..the more I know becomes the more I don't.I checked out the Harvard, Stanford, and Princeton business school links on the matter.It was interesting that they could predict with levels of certainty that health care and technology sectors were going to produce the best investment returns starting in 1990.

Based on my research, it looks like Birmingham is a great place to invest:Diverse jobs/economy (Financial offices in BBVA and Wells Fargo, health care providers like UAB, car manufacturers with Mercedes and Honda, and growing distribution centers like Amazon)Cost of living is affordableHigh % of renters with low vacancy %Best of all: Low property taxes!

I got a solicitation in the mail from Bankers Healthcare Group, claiming this "invite only offer" to select pharmacists.  

The surrounding area is healthcare and universities.

And contrary to popular belief, that foundation is not a tech industry that some see as soon tottering but on a health care industry that continues to grow.Those claiming that a tech “invasion” has wrecked San Francisco might be surprised to learn that of the city’s ten largest employers only Salesforce (#3) and Twitter (#10) are in tech.

Here's the problem, I work in healthcare and plead technology ignorance, LOL! 

The city has seen some serious investment from the city along with investment from Promedica, our healthcare provider, which provides thousands of jobs to locals in the area.Along with this, a new company is moving into the area and will be implementing a $400M facility: Peloton.
