Just a color thought (even though black and white is seems to be trending), black in the desert might be an oven in that garage.Maybe just some touches of black (I think this color scheme makes the place look bigger), and more "Western".Even though there is a fire rated door into the dwelling, adding some insulation to the garage doors is something a lot of people like to do in the desert.

So in the grand scheme of things it's not a significant problem.

So if your presentation gives a valid explanation of who is getting the short end of the stick then I think people can make a more informed position about this scheme.
