Democracy won, we got outdoors more, we headed back to drive-ins, the internet showcased some really clever people, racial injustice triggered massive global protests (and hopefully changes), vaccines were developed in record time, and of course, our Lakers and Dodgers returned championships.

As the line from the movie goes "You feeling lucky tonight?".

I was expecting to see a turnaround sometime mid-year when the vaccine would be in the hand of most folks.

We have a very diversified economy with tech, government, education, medical, and service/tourism (yes, service/tourism is hurting right now, but post-vaccine I expect it to spring back), so we're a fairly safe bet despite the current hot market.

Plus, the vaccine is getting rolled out which will curb the spread tremendously.

Find someone who has been vaccinated to do the inspection.

Our economy still has lots of ground to make up, however, and a full recovery can’t take place until vaccines become more widespread and the coronavirus pandemic peters out.

Post vaccine, take at least 2 weekend trips with friends and a week long hiking trip with family5.

Once the bulk of the population gets the vaccine and the colleges go back to in-person learning, people will trot back into the city.
