As a long term goal it would be nice to merge this model with the earlier one I posted that allows for waterfalls or more extravagant financing structures that involve multiple layers of equity or debt stakeholders.

I'd guess I spend 40 to 80 hours on mine, maybe more when you count input from everyone on the team and various stakeholders.

Talking to all particpants regardless of path has truly helped me immensely - after you have 20 conversations it is easy to see through a lot of the bull and with different stakeholders that have different interests and incentives will ensure some light gets through.
