You'll need good contact info for them to be able to collect, and ideally the new address for the tenant however which if you don't have can probably be found easily with some online sleuthing/ contacting their employer, skip tracing software, etc. 

They said I won't affect my assets by resetting the software etc.

Hemlane is a property management software.

The software is going to be very conservative with your write-offs.

I read about it on Reddit and have had it for a year - it does everything more expensive softwares do but for a much lower price. 

If you're really going after probate leads, just use whatever real estate dialers and software there is out there to get these lists for you and just call them.
