If your exemption is already in place, it's unlikely you'll lose it unless there is some reason for the Assessor's office to look into your property.

I found the key is to go into one of the local Secretary of States offices. 

So over the past 20+ years, enough "storm chasers" have come through and many have stayed or opened a satellite office here etc.
