I remember taking my first programming class, it was fortran, it took me two weeks of listening to the lecture (and not understanding the homework) before I realized the guy was talking about computer programming, no kidding, it was a total wtf class for the first half of the quarter.

Well I was fist going to be tempted to lecture against relying on the 2% and 50% rules, but after looking at the numbers, I don't have to do that because even outside of those rules the numbers don't work.As a point of reference, I know of amazing turnkey duplexes in Chicago that you can buy for $150k-175k and rent for at or above what this multi would get you.

my yearly income is 50k and my only debt is my home which my payment is 540 a month. the payment for this house with mine is going to be 915 a month. so I could handle it on my own if its unoccupied for awhile.Thanks for all the lectures and tips!
