What is your motivation for an STR and the Hawai'i market?

It took a year of painful lessons (the first of which is that NOBODY will care about your business as much as you do (Evolve), and that - in my case at least- self managing makes more sense -even remotely- than allowing someone else who has different motivations to take the reigns.

@Arianne L. 100% agree the "why" is what keeps you focused and motivated.  

It's a stable market given the medical influence in the city.

If I get motivated enough in the near future I may do more research and experimentation with it.  

Better yet, accept the fact that there are always going to be the poor, and a good number of these people - especially in class-movable societies like the US - are going to be there because they aren't motivated enough to do anything further. 

I can't do that with my stocks or do anything myself to influence its value.
