I feel like I've been lied to when I signed up for their services.

I also just found out my Tenant lied on his application and was supposed to register as a sex offender YEARS AGO!!.

It’s not uncommon for a tenant to lie and use a friend.

Hey Nolan, I echo the sentiment of many of the posters here - banks will straight up lie to you sometimes regarding what options are available (especially if that particular bank doesn't offer it) 

My apologies to the other 5%.The simple fact of the matter is most of these guys are lying about their success in real estate, and to whatever extent they are not, their expert knowledge consists mostly of things you could learn by reading BiggerPockets for a few days. 

Do not believe the lie that you can adequately manage your vacation rental with your iPhone and some far east "customer service agents" to take the occasional phone call.

Even once when my home was broken into while I was lying in a hospital bed, the landlord made his way over.

The same issue lies with Chicago as well.- Then I checked out the Detroit market and realized that the job and population growth has declined in the past few years and landlords are finding it hard to fill the vacancies.- Lastly, I checked out the Colorado market (especially Colorado and Colorado Springs), and the property prices are high there and hence, it won't cash flow there either.Hence, while I want to begin my journey, I am not sure where to start.

The city lies along Tualatin Valley Highway between Forest Grove to the West and Hillsboro to the East.
