You should also be aware, if this is a tub/shower combo, that the most common method of insulating a steel tub to make it behave more like cast iron is wrapping it in unfaced fiberglass insulation before installation.

If it has a drop ceiling you can put rolled insulation stuffed up in the ceiling packed over the tiles and use the heavy grade tile that’s like drywall not the fiberglass cheap tiles
