It's insulting to millions and if you had any self awareness, you would be embarrassed to have identified yourself as a simpleton.Bigger Pockets is not the place to make your big brave stand.

I doubt quite a few real estate investors ever had any shame to begin with, just some vague middle-class-minded, status-seeking notions about not being embarrassed publicly for what they did as privately as possible.

Then, embarrassed, scared of the landlord/consequences and perhaps unable to pay for damages, claimed it was not their fault and it must have been the door. 

So out of pure embarrassment I started to learn what it meant to run a real estate business.These thing are the best things I learned. 1) I'm doing this to improve my life and the lives of others2) These people are my clients not my family or my friends3) If I don't quit loosing money get out and leave it to others.4) This is way too easy to be hard.My first situation was rent collection. driving hours every month to collect rent, sometime 2 and 3 times just to find no one home.

I’m at going to put it all out there as embarrassing as it is.

I embarrassingly assumed it was a survey not plat that was provided.

Now you can flex your muscles at your hubby and I bet your tenant is a bit embarrassed.  

@John Teachout obviously that guest lied about seeing the animal, and Airbnb is too embarrassed to tell you what exactly it was because they were complicit in the sham by believing them over you.  

Esp. on something as basic and embarrassing as this.I always say "I don't know but I will find out" is an acceptable answer and I am glad that I work with people that feel the same way. 

If this person is a good tenant, you definitely do not want him to feel “embarrassed” when he finds out that you own the other property as well.
