If I go to NY and tell someone that I live in CA they say "oh my god, how could you live there with all of the earthquakes?" 

To be honest with everybody it really doesn't matter to me if the house burns down or falls down in a tornado or is destroyed by an earth quake etc etc.

During the 1994 Northridge earthquake I started storing totaled MH's and derelicts at my construction yard then started dishing them off to ranchers and brokers from Mexico and was thereby required to obtain my manufactured home dealers license due to the volume of business I was conducting.I then used my dealers and contractor's licenses to purchase new MH's directly from manufacturers, installing them on lots/parcels and reselling or rent/leasing them.

I know earthquake insurance is an option but firstly it is expensive and secondly it only covers the structure.

Kind of you sir, unit NOT on Foundation however we do have earthquake insurance.  

The HOA advised all owners that a earthquake retrofit is required for a owners in the complex.
