I've done pretty well as a relatively novice investor in the stock market, just investing in S&P 500 tracking index funds.

If it's not feasible due to circumstances I suppose I'll have to adjust my situation (find weekend job, move back to NJ with parents, move to a different state with, etc.)All responses are appreciated, and I am absolutely open to chatting on the phone by the way.My view on house hacking is it can be a great tool to buy a house you could not  otherwise afford, but it shouldn’t be a goal in it of itself if that makes sense and that’s not to discourage you from investing just there are alternatives such as the stock market. so I’d start by asking where you want to live, do you want to own a single family home or does it make more sense to rent in a more interesting neighborhood like Arlington, Alexandria, that’s gonna be a personal choice, Will your monthly payment actually be less than renting/how many people do you need to get in the house to afford that?

I than thought it was tenants, all the "what if's"; what-if they have a fire, what-if there is a shooting, dead body, drug raid, break-in, squatters, feces art, etc etc etc.....   

A C class neighborhood in the rust belt might look like a D class in another area because the rust belt has older housing stock and has a different look and feel to neighborhoods. 

She will get pre IPO stock and we all know what that can do for top execs at a public tech company. 

Investing does need to be approached more like a business than just a simple stock trade.

The main reason for this is to continue to do medical missions around the world  even when I'm dead.

You'll have to read the details in your PPM and Capital Call notice but generally you send in more money to maintain or decrease, but never increase, your original position, It's not like putting money into a losing stock where you now own more of the company for a lower average price.You're far from the only person this has happened to.
