It'd be better for me to pay someone $300-400 dollars to handle all the paperwork, amendments, follow up etc and I can focus on the higher per dollar tasks.I hope this helps! 

In lieu of that person, ask another advocate for his/her opinion, and seek to get the determination amended if necessary.

Just be careful with who you pick for your taxes- I had to amend a return last year because someone  incorrectly paid $20k in tax on a sale of a home because their prior "cheap" CPA didn't understand basis. 

The title company has agreed to send an amended settlement statement to the end buyer's lender, requesting an adjustment, and they will issue me the funds when the adjustment has been made.
