Finding a bunch of Mercury dimes in a former bank might be one thing, finding a hollow brick in the crawl of a house formerly owned by an embezzler might be another, given the statute of limitations on the crime.Good thing we're speaking hypothetically.The best find I ever made was a stash of rings and pins, all gold and some with diamonds, hidden between floor boards and under carpet I was replacing (in a rental just purchased).One ring was a very old high school class ring with initials inscribed on the inside.

to $45k range either means you're finding that one suuuuper distressed property in a decent neighborhood and getting a deal basically just on the land ( a diamond in the rough, unlikely you'll find these with any consistency), or you're investing in some lower-tier areas.
