I've spoken to some other lenders and they say I may have a legal case saying they are causing unnecessary financial hardship on me as the issue has been rectified. 

@Matt Devincenzo This is an unnecessary call out based on semantics regarding what the OP wrote  - "borrow from it/pull from it" she is asking advice to get educated, where she has yet to learn the terms and subtleties surrounding the topic.

The "walk away thing" is totally unnecessary if you know what you are doing, your agent should teach you all of these.
