Maybe enclose it and decorate around it.  

We found a local auction site with Home Decorators Collection, Amazon, hardware store returns.

There could be 1,000 reasons why these cabins don’t have more bookings (location, price, decor, etc) 

There is commonly opportunity to do that through minor cosmetic and decor fixes.  

We ultimately purchased 3 standard precut slabs from Floor and Décor for $480 and had a local fabricator cut and install them with an under mount sink for another $975 in mostly labor costs and it turned out great.

I have done my own installation one (1) time using prefab granite slabs (purchased from Floor & Decor) and did save alot of money, but it took two full days for me and my wife to do the installation (the undermount sink took forever to cut and polish).  

For the painting portion, I would highly recommend talking to Jim Prater at Chattanooga Paint and Decorating.

More than a few investors do nothing but rent themselves and spend the money that would have been spent on a mortgage and decorating on rental property. 

I consider the fireplace more as a decoration than a heating unit.
