I agree cheep mini blinds, and vertical blinds for wider windows, I found a nice narrow vertical blind at Menards that has a 2 1/2 inch slat that is perfect for just about all my windows, headrails cut to size and slats can be cut to what ever length you need and they only project 2 1/2 inches out so no big bulky 3 1/2 in slats..

I would pull out the old tub and install a shower pan and shower enclosure 36 inches wide by the length of the tub, wide because some people like to eat a lot and a bigger shower means the won't be up against the walls.
